Poems - On Point
| | On Pointby ddkwenda
Breaking lead in metaphors of passion/
these invisible pencils had impromtue speaches of potic notions/
Protests manifest in rhythm demanding change/
Strangers have become acquainted to these idealistic thoughts menacing/
Conformists must be looking at each other in confusion/
As this fusion of philosophy becomes reality from mere illusion/
Religious institutions including educational turfs have become relics in seclusion/
Teaching is still frozen in time such that it's becoming redundant/
It's a colonial clone ingrained in black mentalities/
Freedom is non-existent, it's just sentences in utterances of pipe dreaming/
It starts from the inner being overflowing into a stream/
that redeems this theme of Pan-Africanist seams/
Filled in with Jesus I believe what I preach is what he desires of us/
Coz our prison of hindrance has us limited to mere pathetic western influence/
Reverence should be given to Christ's redemption of mankind/
He neither segregated thus this belated derogatory view of blackness is sin/
Pay attention lest you fail to interpret the various, statements/
Edify yourself be released from constraining attachments/
Stretch your potential into potent power/ Not to subdue another but to lift yourself to live at life's epitome/
I'm not an elitist but believe life could be lived/
At the highest level without the subjugation of a people based on race being grieved/

Where injustice rule

Where injustice rules, the people must speak out and encourage others to do the same. I believe that in my heart and I practice what I preach here in the US. Dividing people on class and/or racial lines is evil, whether it is done by a government or by any other entity. We all suffer from lies and greedy power brokers. I am reading your work and beginning to understand some of what you're saying, DD. Well done, Mary Ann

I like that and I'm really warming up to you, your views are pretty much similar to mine! My old man said that the sanity of any man is simply stipulated by the art of being understood. It is a pointless thing to speak and fail to have anyone make sense of what you say... You are that precious part of that group which brings me to that validation of my sanity! thank you
