flutter

by stephminoglou

through the clouds floating,
this jellyfish isn’t bloating,
its just asking for nothing.
By the luxurious depths of a butter it glides,
in a pool of rose petals it flies,
why then does it end in the gutter?

As much as it climbs, as hard as it tries,
when it opens its eyes, its still in a clutter.
To the mountain it flees, where the wise one feeds,
where all the Bees befriend Gees,
and the ‘soul’ brings though to thy knees

“Crack open the cookie” the wise one plead,
on this offering the jellyfish fed,
the fortune revealed
‘Soul Costs!- Noie Che’
Oh boy! an answer is this?
“One in disguise it is, do not breed greed,
decipher this message of love,
and you’ll feel the wave”

this Love to care for him
he did not have,
what a pity this was

and what could this ‘soul’ cost?
hours he spent, nights he wept,
his soul came to a hault
it felt like a theft!

in all this heat, the collapse was near,
it possessed him with fear,
when it finally came –
he was the only to blame

when all was let go off,
when he could stick on to nothing,
the sea could breathe through him,
and lift him above any cloud,
over flooding all gutters,
it held jellyfish tight - in its secure hollow might.

And a few moments later. The Jelly fish pro-claimed: and all I did; was ‘lose the conscious…
ness!’ By the time it exhaled
it fell back in the gutter,
oh what a flutter!
