In need of a make-over

There is a frown on the face
deepening the space
here dimples dance around
even when it rains
I’m slowing my pace,
there is a poet lost to sound
who can’t hear her calling
there is a me to be found.

I don’t like my style, don’t like my face
I don’t like my stupid poetic ways
I hate my poems with absolute distaste
my dress sense is a disaster
it’s one of my bad hair days
I am a total mess,
I need a make- over.

Hello there, I need a make-over,
i feel so down,
I need a makeover
oh, yes honestly
I need a make-over,
hello there, please don't stare
I need a make -over
move over, but I need a make over.

You’d think I’d be screaming desperation
you’d think this ain’t fun
when everything sucks
and all things get undone
I ain’t kicking a ruckus
this tantrum’s just begun
I ain’t fighting for attention
honestly I need a make-over.

Let me guess...You need a makeover? This is a good poem but that that line out a few times and add some details as to why the character is so unhappy with herself. That would make it a great poem!

sounds ok to me little tigger. is it really possible to make ourselves over? or do we just have to make the best of the hands we are dealt. if you could see my sticking up morning, drifting to the left hair, you'd know what i mean ha ha - love and peace - paul.

Oh Alana... I do believe you've written a rock 'n roll song! I can just about sense the clamor of guitars and drums before the "I need a make-over" chorus. Cute and original, girl.

hahahahaha, i was about to say- this poem would make a terrific song!!! hahahahah- but then i see you've catagorised it under lyrics anyway!!!
i think this is great. it could actually be a hit song.
i reckon you should copyright it, th lyrics and then try and sell it to one of those big media/movie/artist companies. you know BMG or whatever.
well done.
th only thing i ask know- is what happened??? did you just stop writing poems??? i did for about amonth and half, and i;ve only rcently gottne back into it, but not the way i used to write- but still, im trying.
did something happen alana?? or do you just need a break form it- i know soemtimes writing poetry all the time can be fairly emotionally intense.
