Don't You Smile

Don't you smile at me with angel lips
Unless you plan on loving me
The kind of love businessmen pay millions for
But never seem to find

Don't you smile at me with that ray of sunshine
Unless you plan on brightening my cloudy day
Breathing life into these dying pastures
Rejuvenating this cold and lonely soul

Don't you look at me with those ruby eyes
Unless you plan on looking through me
Finding the soul deep within covered in ice
Grasping it and shaking it free

Don't you talk about your boyfriend
Unless he feels the way I do
Placing you up on this pedestal
and watching, waiting for the fall
