Poems - Alcatraz
"I felt like a convict on his last day of freedom spending as much time as he could with the outside world, plotting ways to return to it as fast as possible. He sees the loneliness ahead of him like a tidal wave and he can't help but fantasize a world where choices don't matter." This is my favorite stanza: "Don't hold it against me if I held you too close, or if I kissed you too much, or if you spent too much time walking around with your clothes in a heap. Like I said, I am a selfish man. I wanted every inch of you all to myself, you were too beautiful to let go." It's pretty special to have some care that much. Very emotion-filled poem. I enjoyed it and will look for others by you. Thanks for sharing it. Joan
