Poems - WHY

WHY

My mother was malnourished
Also during her all pregnancies
Hence, I too was under-nourished
in her womb during my organogenesis !

As my brain was not developed properly
during my intrauterine life
{Same thing did happen to my poor wife}
How do you expect me to have, too
perfect intellectual abilities as others do ?

Because of malnourishment
I've multiple disabilities
And my mental growth suffered
Throughout my infancy !

Now I can not compete with
the open merit talented people
And can't have highest artistic skill
as my contemporary have !

I'm forced to live this vegetative life
just because I can't respectfully die
For that I need reservation in all fields
Even though you question--Why ?

A truly forthright poem, my good friend Dr. Anant; your poem is beautifully written with not one word out of place... thus it blies any intellectual disability to my eyes. Very well done, Mary Ann
