Poems - Blissful Afternoon

Blissful Afternoon

As we say hello on a hot summer day
thoughts racing through my head,
desire lurking through my veins and
sweet innocence through the air.
Wishing time would just stand by
for this moment there is no where in the world I would rather be
than sitting here next to you holding hands.
Our eyes meet once or twice,
a smile makes us go back to those moments where our love was strong
and for that split second
Time is not wasted...
Our bodies slowly drawning us near,
our hearts beating in one single beat,
hard to deny this beautiful love that has grown within us.
And as I stare at your beautiful face
and I see you smile right back at me,
my worries start to dissappear for our love is true and so unique.
If only time stood still...
As I can feel my breath again that dreadful moment comes again
when I have to hold you in my arms and say good bye one more time...
I know for sure my days would never be the same
if I dont have you by my side...
