Poems - Two Butterflies

Two Butterflies

by butterflyzrfree

Spinning in a downwards spiral,
pulled by gravity,
closer and closer,
to the center point.
The pivotal spot
of close intimacy.

Two spinning butterflies
Flying 'round one another,
Increasing zeal,
complementary colors,
The same yet inverse,
circling downwards.
Producing their own energy,
Intensifying as the circling speeds up.

Pulling together,
yet not touching,
not daring to touch.
In the fervor of swirling,
Brown with yellow specks; yellow with brown.
Where can we go with this?
Spiritwind has it's say.
There is only one way, down
to a single center.

Beautiful spiritual poem. I took the meaning as an interpretation of our life, not of a butterfly.

reminded me of a buddhist saying that goes " tie two birds together, and even though they have four wings, they cannot fly ". gravity will always draw us toward the center. - love and delicate wings - paul.

a beautiful scene..with a touch of the perfectly inescapable gravitational alure....if they landed together, it would be meant to be....i'm usually not lucky enough to see the a couple of butterflies land...enjoyed this very much..q

very beautiful poem. the last stanza was especially powerful for me. it was well written and two butterflies dancing was a great subject to write about. good job amigo
