Poems - The Book of Darren
not sure whether i like it or hate it..... nice use of imagery throughout- i didn't know whether you were being sarcastic or not on you rather morbid- yet reassuring topic. what exactly are you trying to say. that we human beings lack purpose in life, and that we should celebrate our freedom in our right to dictate our own paths???? also the phrase "May we without fear or regret Push for the finite destruction of humankind and the eternal damnation of an unknown, misunderstood race" hmmmm what does this mean- what is this other 'race' you have alluded to??? not sure about this- it is well written enough to deserve a 7 at least- perhaps you can help me otu with its meaning??? radical_love

The "unknown, misunderstood" race is Atheists, I refer to them as a completely foreign Idea because most theists look upon them as demons, destined to burn in eternal hellfire due to their differing views. I realize it isn't particularly good, as I wrote it a few years ago and have just recently dug it up. Perhaps this explanation helps?

hmmmm most thiests look upon atheists as demons??? NAY i protest- i am what you would call a 'theist" and i do not think athiests are demons- although i do beleive they will end up in hell if they do not eventually repent. there you go a very simplistic rundown of my theological beliefs in a nutshell- very thought provooking and interesting poem (as well as well-written) kudos to you. look forward to reading and discussing more of your work. radical_love

I probably should have said most fundamentalists instead of most theists. Fundamentalists do often consider Atheists to be evil, or controlled by Satan, ironically negating the idea of free-will, but that's beside the point.
