Because I did Nothing

Because I did Nothing

That Halloween night
I didn’t put up a fight

I swear I said no
But I was unable to go
All I could do was lay
Now I must pay

I didn’t scream, I didn’t shout
Now I have so much doubt
So many things I am unsure about
How I wish I didn’t go out

I know what I have done
I just wish I would have run
Instead I let him take control
Now the guilt is taking its toll

I wish I ran away
Thought of something more to say
But this is the decision I made
Cuz I did nothing, just laid
