The Nightmare

Welcome to my nightmare
Where madness plays, and doubt reigns
Where misery is the fanfare
Innocence lost, ignorance wanes

To stop the pain, believe the lies
See the heart riddled through
The excruciating truth she defies
Run, run before it catches you

Believe in what doesn't exist
Give a kiss, give your soul
Come now you can't resist
The only way to feel whole

Into the nightmare you run full tilt
Immerse yourself in blinding hope
Believe this one won't let you wilt
His silver tounge will help you cope

Come on, come on, give in now
You and your demons embracing
Be naive and pleasure he'll endow
Live to love, a lie forever encasing

Numb yourself to worries and fear
Forget what made you fall before
Tell yourself 'he'll always be here'
Throw open the deadbolted door

Leave yourself vulnerable and weak
Push logic to the back of your mind
Watch the passion reach it's peak
Make believe he will respond in kind

Watch it end, as you fade away
The nightmare holds you tight
Remember tomorrows a new day
In the realm of never ending night
