MY DEPARTURE

Sadly my time has come to an end
these people and places I'll not see anymore
my absence they shall mend
this sudden departure,will sadden hearts
for I shall not return
as they say some do
my bridge to here I shall burn
the position I held , will be remembered by few
a few meager belongings left behind, they will rob
glad to begone, I say
I never liked this job
a new career path, I shall lay

i liked this one a lot dave. i almost always enjoyed leaving a job. a bit scary, but also very satisfying - happy hours and unpleasant train journeys - paul.
