Homage (from a cats point of view)

"Hrmph!" I say, "how dare you
move me from my nice warm place?
You can make the bed up later,
for now get out of my face!"

"Make sure my water bowl is filled,
my meals served on time,
and if I'm sleeping in a chair,
that chair is labeled is mine!"

"I'll let you pet and fuss over me,
after all that is my due,
Oh, and don't forget the litter box,
I filled it just for you."

"Now go away, don't bother me,
my beauty sleep I must get,
I'll move when I'm ready
and I'm not ready yet."

"In the meantime, I'll stretch a bit,
and wash my paws and face,
a cat that doesn't clean itself
bring to us disgrace!"

"I'll let you know when I'm hungry
you'll hear my loud meow,
so move along and leave me alone,
as you leave don't forget to bow."

Oh Boy - speaking from experience, this one is SOOOO true! We don't "own" them, that's for sure! Love this and it's just great for Chidlren's Poetry!!
