Lost in a Dream

by Blue

Fogs rolling in

Grey clouds at bay

The thought of us

Keeps fading away

Pain seeping through

These veins of mine

I can’t let go

I can’t move on

Lost in the dream

You left behind

Our love was true

Or so I thought

Strong enough

To justify our destiny

Sitting, waiting, holding on

To a love that didn’t last

To a love that had a chance

To a love that never died.

i am pretty sure many have had this
happen
like it is better to live in dream world with the possibility
than live in this world and be without the person
i enjoyed the read even though it was sad Exclamation

    Hi Angeroseblue,
    I am glad you enjoyed eading it... For me is more like when u have a cut and u put on a bad aid....you know that at some point you have to take it off to let that wound heal it self but u are too afraid to take it off because of the scar that has left on your body...well this is much like that...only this time the scar was left in my heart and on my soul....and someone has come up and RIPPED THAT SUCKER OUT...
    Love just aint enough sometimes...!!!!

Blue, nicely written... i also agree about the band-aid... i have one over a small burn from baking at my job...but i tried to take off. it hurt to much, so i will soak it off... it did not come off, so i found the strenght and ripe it off...

Sometimes you read a poem that just sums up how you feel at the time. This did that beautifully for me!
