    Yes, Paul. It was fun to write! I saw the game tonight, spanish station, I think it was a repeat of the earlier one. Because they cut the show right after the announcer said 'GOALGOALGOALGOALGOALGOALGOLAGOALGOALGOALGOAL"
    and that is exactly what he said. then no replay, nothing, cut to commercial..... Sad

    i think politicians would all dive in the penalty box, and whine on to the referee all the time that everything was unfair, and it wasn't their fault.....like the italians ha ha.

G'day Gail...
This poem of yours represents 'footy'...short for football. Our 'footy' is a different brand to soccer.
I'm pleased to read you put the pollies in the back seat, preferably with a gag. Did you enjoy the world cup? I didn't see any of it.

    Thank you Lindsay, and Yes! I saw most all of it as it was pre-recorded and shown every evening on the Spanish stations. Only the big ones were shown on us or the BBC stations. But I understand enough spanish and the game itself, and had a great deal of fun watching! Now i love it so much more! Here in North havana, everyone talks fut-bol constantly, from Cuba or whatever South American country they may originate. There are many. Very interest place to live, this is. How is the house going? I WANT ALL OF THE DETAILS!!! Wink Gail

Ohh..I hope it isn't too late to comment on this one which I shouldn't have missed!Reading this reminded me the fantastic time we had in this year's WC. Several moments of tensions and relief. Unexpected knock outs.
