Poems - Class Wars
| | Class Warsby rondo
Class Wars
Skilled craftsman ply their trade
Bringing home the working wage
Building up and repairing
But financially despairing
Over economic woes
In competition with their foes
Their reputation is on the line
When quality competes with time
Corporate behemoths with deep pockets
Mass production means massive profits
Taking the lions share of free markets
Struggling tradesmen turn into puppets
Quality of workmanship
Falls to catchy design
Old school craftsmen
Selling out to amalgamate minds
To a world absorbed in famine and leisure
And the middle class is a little of either
Tugging the strings on the masters hands
Union negotiating the cant’s and the cans
The upper class negotiates neither
Saturated in money monger fever
They center themselves at the hub of the world
It’s the hand that their dealt and they give it a whirl
Data dancers
Take their chances
How its played is the golden rule
Contaminate the genus Poole
Kings treat their tax base squarely
And tyrants take their greed unfairly

Aloha Ronald... well worded and direct... however, where is your fire? I know enough of your work now to question the passion of this part of your debate... I may also err in my assumptions... My question is should we be more specific in the subject material for our thoughts? the concept of puppets and masters... tradesmen selling out... the only worldwide options are of leisure or famine... and / or... being that the lorded few are all centered together... lets US Pol Pot them all!!! Your seventh verse is the odd one out... retort: James Bullard, Narayana Kocherlakota, Thomas M. Hoenig, Richard W. Fisher, Janet L. Yellen, Charles L. Evans, Dennis P. Lockhart, Jerrrey M. Lacker, Sandra Pianalto, Charles I. Plosser, William C. Dudley, Eric S. Rosengren... puppets to what puppeteer? the people, the institutions, the academic connections... the expertise... the foment against the middle class... this is the material for the passion behind the penned... just review the introductory materials on these few players... some clever thoughts arise just thinking about the potential write on these lines of incite... thanks though for the push and the politics in this read... lets trust that the following movement around this thinking will expand and more research and words will be forthcoming... all the best from life to you and all of your relations... Michael.

quite right friend...not the easy to follow story typical of me so much to be said.... attempted to install in 7 1/2 stanzas probably too vague for the typical reader to follow but you are of couse correct that other refrence is required to fill in the blanks and perhaps not try to say so much.....thanks for your help with this one
