When Light Leaves Us

Eagles turned to dragons
the sun was leashed by night.
All the earthly minions
bowed down to say goodbye.
Shadows started breeding
shade became the norm.
Prayers caught in the net
of an unforgiving storm.
Born to love the daylight
But black fog has taken my beloved
Sunshine's form--
Taken my beloved Sunshine's form.

*Had the tune of "The Warning" by Sabbath in my head.
