Tears of God

by marich7

"...Sodom and Gomorrah,
I weep for thee,
Forsake thou thine ways,
And follow me..."

We live in a world,
Of degradation,
Oh God please,
Save this nation.

Dematerialized,
Morality,
We kill babies...
...For, MONEY!!!

My fellow patriots,
Can you not see,
We are like fisherman,
All lost at sea.

Casting our nets,
Out into infinity,
We'd rather reap chaos,
Than simplicity.

Forbidden relations,
Social segregation,
Moral recession,
Are we a pagan nation?!

Will we continue,
In disarray,
"One" bad apple,
And the "bunch" decays...

"...Oh, Sodom and Gomorrah,
I still weep for you,
And soon America,
I'll weep for you too."

nah most pagans behave much more nicely :p In all honesty, I hope you are not seriously thinking that morality and compassion somehow are religious feelings reserved for a select few. Such shallow assumptions make for great divides men in-between. More the poison, then the cure when looking at world conflicts atm. That does not take away, that I believe you in part have good intentions, and that is greatly appreciated. I find there are many these days, with the same mindset as you portray here. It is an energy, I hope it shall do good, and well just that.

Now if I could just set you apart, from the ones who killed the native americans, the saxons going to holy war, and all of the rest of the baby killing pagan slayers, who would use the same shallow assumptions, and is the anglo-saxon-american historie. I would feel alot more safe with you.

That by the way goes for Sodom and Gomorrah aswell, if they have ever existed. The victor writes historie. Even in ancient times it was nice and easy to say that killing and destruction was the wrath of god.

It is as you say and this poem be nothing more than the result of my religious upbringing culminating with observations that any man could make be he/she morally compassed or not. It may offend some, convict others but in the end its just a simple observation based on some vague comparison to two cities that may or may not have existed that I decided to write down one day. thanks for stopping by
