Spanish Lands

I sometimes dream of a Spanish sunset
I often think of forbidden sky
Is this the land I dare not mention?
Is this the place we choose to die?
How we wander down dusty roads
Marking time in citrus air
This land of olives that seduces
So dreamtime wants to take me there
To live within the mountain shadow
And drink the fruits from harvest hands
Enjoy the sleep, so calm and tranquil
And rest in peace, in Spanish lands.

Very nice Charles, Is it the way I read it or is there a referance to a conflict in this piece?

    Thank you for the comment.
    I guess that is the beauty of poetry, in so much as the reader may interpret ideas that the author was not consciously aware. So, I thank you for pointing out this aspect of conflict. It was written as finding a place, so peaceful, that this would be a good place to die. So, yes, a place for conflict to be resolved.
