Words trip
over my tongue
cause my heart
has taken a permanent
vacation in my throat
and its all thanks
to you
thoughts rush
through my mind
but then are lost
before they’re found
cause i’m too busy
paying attention
to you
my hands won’t stop
moving and fretting
in their free time
when they’re not
too busy
holding on
to you
my legs are stubborn
and leaden jello
unless they’re firmly
on the path
to you
only you
