Jesus

Jesus is our saviour’s name
Is to me for you the same?
2,000 years have now gone
Thoughts of Him linger on

Suffered for us with his pain
With no thought of earthly gain
How was He so very brave?
To have that courage I do crave

Throwaway society we now lurch
No longer taught of God and church
Voices say we’re heading south
That’s the time to use your mouth

It’s your time to grasp the nettle
Like brother Islam show our mettle
Freedom by birth is our choice
And we have a mighty voice

For if you have no belief
Where to turn to for your relief
He came down to be our saviour
Repay Him now with true behaviour

Should be enough with the loaves
