Poems - four years today...

four years today...

by chey.

four days from this day.
you took that belt.
tied your neck up.
and jumped.
off of a bunk bed?
i dont see why?
why it worked.
why you did it.
all unknown.
why you were choking on your vomit.
i was laughing at my friends.
i had no clue.
next day at school though.
thats when everything fell on me.
it felt like nothing in the world was real.
you were the best friend that made everything better.
made me smile when i thought i couldnt.
i still cant believe it.
you know not a day passes and, your still right here.
inside me.
i remember everything.
all the good time on the playground.
haha, now there is nothing.
but me.
and this tombstone.
with your name engraved.
im sorry...
i miss those days.
but now.
four years have passed.
and so have you...

this is powerful and i can relate to loss...i lost one of my best friends last september....we went through many stages together, which made it hurt that much more, but i did find that thinking about the happier days actually had be laughing more than i thought i was capable of at the time...a very touching write..qaj
