Poems - Window View in Umbria

Window View in Umbria

by Pujakins

Rooftops far as I can see
echo the rise and fall of hills
stretching to the horizon.
Were I a bird I would fly
where my eyes can only gaze.

Like the distant hills rooftops undulate,
weaving a pattern from angles and overhangs.
Seen from my window
this bird's eye view
makes me wish for wings.

G'day Tasha...
I believe its only a poet who sees the finer points of the landscape from a window and then be able to write them into a poem such as yours.
Thank you Tasha

Many thanks, my friend. I appreciate your comment. It was indeed a lovely sight to see, as is much of Italy. Hugs and Blessings, Tasha

Beautiful, vivid
poem, Tasha. I love
how you use your imagery
to describe yourself as a
bird. Very creative. Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

A piece that is charming in its gentleness - like the slow movement of thought in a meditative moment.
