The $180 amount for our monthly fund raising goal actually represents the unrealized monthly costs for our servers and bandwidth. When we fall short the remainder is paid by the owners and staff of this community site. Thank you for donating what you can!

GotPoetry is a not for profit organization completely supported by you, the members. We are not a non-profit 501-C3 and do not claim to be. We just hope to break even on our costs.

We pride ourselves on being run as a community, and not by a few power-hungry members. This means that we need you to be a part of that community, therefore we 'Pass the Hat' and charge minimal subscriptions for perks and not for participation. We encourage every member to contribute to the community in any way that they can.

Since we do not have our servers or bandwidth donated we have to pay our bills every month to keep things going. For those of you who can, we ask that you make a monetary contribution in whatever denomination you would like. Every little bit counts and anything left over goes directly towards prizes for the regular writing contests at this site.
