Last Chance

seeking solace
hope still flickers
an instinctive reflex
aching to join the true believers
a virtual simulation
of feelings
long lost

timidly at first
you move forward
a massive wager
placed on line
another dismal failure
a viable selection
to feeling
nothing

intelligent dialogue
thoughts so in tune
shared smiles
even a laugh or two
hope rises from cold ash
to torment me
valiant stupidity
opening that
door again

too intense
pull back turn away
blank pages
nothing to offer
comprehension dawns
don't belong here
visibly shaken
finding yourself
again
deleted

Hi, I was trying to find a PM button here, but there is none so have to post this way. I posted on the slam For those who NEVER won a slam before to ask that people don't for you since you have already won a slam.
