Well I can say I have so far had a shocker of a year health wise. And will be glad to see this year draw to a close. As for my writing it has also fell away from my expectations. Some of them need to be for ever forgotten. But I must add that the good ones are rewarding in that they have touched those that have read them deeply. Isn't that what we all set out to do? Emotionally connect with everyone through our poems. Every new poem I read from you poets just gets better and better.
Sadly though we still seem to have that pesky and annoying low rater hanging around. But if like me the points/karma is only a small thing, so now I concentrate on the comments not the score of each poem. It is the feed back that we need. And I thank those that have given honest (even negative) feedback. Making my poems that bit stronger.
Like I have said earlier my health has been a big concern this year, and has effected the quality and quantity of poems. But from the ashes of disaster, grows a newer and stronger person. Next year will see greater emotion in my work. Any way Hugs and Hi's to you all. dAVE.

lost in Vegas; thousand meandering lights,

        Jesters dance with diamonds, in the famished night;
cloaked in sable, fervent moons from dust.

Life is the word spoken through action
        whilst poetry stimulates musicality
        actions of artistry without blatancy
        songs through meticulous metaphor
        sinuous strings of brewing words
for the soul's insipid, famished flesh.

        Intoxicating luggage lies within
        poetic fields of sumptuous dream

        with armor of blood-lake septum.

        A replica of inconspicuous dance

penchant of life - maybe devilish stress
        fulfilled with ambiguity
        pearly rail to personal den

The pen is a sacred diplomat
        it pivots around yearning core
        sweeps sub-conscience reality

        subtle strap of inner diction

Life is action spoken through words
        as poetry stimulates musicality
