When the dying's done

When the dying's done

When the dying's done
and the scattered sun
spirals a cross the sky
we'll see a rainbow shine
for one final time.
Forever engrained on the eye.

When  the dying is done
and we each have become
as insubstantial as a dream
we'll hear a song sublime
for one final time.
Yet never know what it means.

When the dying's done,
all the dying is done
and the moon, like an iceberg appears,
we'll feel a sting of lime
for one final time.
As it dissolves all our hopes and fears.
