It's an excellent poem forwards yet read backwards is more a tale of redemption which is very talented and quite the feat.

Some will simply hurt you when they have nothing else to give you, it's in essence not to be forgotten

The come up bit just doesn't work for me I know you think it fits as it is meaningful however it merely breaks the flow make it the title maybe?

I like short poems but I feel this could have a little bit more back ground we have no rapport with the characters so sympathy is a big ask
