Hi! I'm Airene. One thing you need to know about me is that I live to write, I write to live. It's my only passion. Writing is the only form of expression I know. If not a writer, I wouldn't be anything. Also, I love coffee, ice-creams, cats, dogs and being around nature. I'm pretty much a loner

Love, The Dove

I nurtured a dove
Whom I named love
For quite a while
She was a selenophile
Love gazed at the moon
As it made her swoon
Her gorgeous ruffles shone bright
In the night light
Love was a delight
I wanted to keep her safe
In my embrace

Hey Doug, I came here from your comment on my poem. Absolutely loved reading this, could totally visualize this since I relate to it. Can't wait to read more of your poems.

Also, I lost Love, The Dove for some reason and had to re-publish it

Wow! I'm new here and this is the first poem I read. I've tears in my eyes. I could relate to each and every word. A couple of years back I lost everything and this reminded me of everything I had to go through to survive. You truly have a wonderful way with words.
