Mistakes

There are mistakes in life we make,
The most grievous one to take, is the
mistake of the heart when from a  loved one
we part. I feel the desire to live the life
that in my memory last. My actions and
decisions I thought right were not,
Lifelong regrets have been my plight,

Separate paths and life apart, not what I
Imagined in the start. If the future I could see,
A you and me there still would be.
First love right and true, my love for you.
