The Wings of Azreal

Karen Gilbert 1949 (Seattle, WA)

Come softly, Azreal
Cover me with your wings
Release me from my pain and
Anguish of suffering
Break the chains of my affliction
Set my spirit free
Unlock the shackles of despair
That feed my agony
Come softly, Azreal
Enfold me in your wings
Carry my soul to Heaven
Where I'll hear the angels sing
Praise and exaltation to my
Savior, Lord and King.
