Which dream?

Left one dream to follow another
ending stereotypes and not choosing the lover
have all i wanted since highschool
sometimes at night i still kinda miss you

do i regret it? maybe a little.
but i need to be selfish this time
paid off in the end, made me hard and brittle
but here I am wondering bout when you were mine

didn't know i had this feeling till now
makes me miserable i almost scream out
became famous but couldn't let go of you
Thinking bout you day and night is all i do

You were my everything sun and the moon
my clothes still have a hint of your perfume
i wanted you by me in the darkest of days
didn't realise without you is as dark as it gets.

Your friends texted me a back while
said i was crazy and possesive
but it was too precious, your smile
it gave me what i needed to live
