The Truth

Ancient civilizations wiped away.
Stories told as myths, fairy tales, they say.

Ingrained in the minds of youth.
Never knowing the truth.

Many books have been burned.
The wisdom they held will not return.
Controlling the information that is learned.

Allow the mind to expand, to combine.
The pieces of truth hidden between the lies.

Taught not to question. Don't ask why.
Everyone forced to fall in line.

Free thought can not be stopped.
Our mind is all we got.

Listen to the hearts intuition.
This will lead to fruition.

Many walk the streets faceless,
Trying to be traceless.

The night is dark.
Careful not to leave a mark.

Secrets are kept.
Forgotten are those that wept.

One foot in front of the other.
Beware of those undercover.

When liars speak,
In between the lines truth leaks.

Words are twisted and used
To keep people confused.

Hold steadfast and be strong.
And sing a folk song.

In time we'll see
That it was all meant to be.

Over time, the truth will survive.
Over time, the truth will come alive.
