Chance of rain

Living like a tree in your shadow
Cooked in my ways
From years desperately searching for the suns rays
I'm tired of feeling like a beached shark
Desperate for help but stuck here out of fear
My plea would be seen as an attempted bite
I'm stuck at a four way stop because every option only leads me to a dead end
I miss the days of feeling like I was mostly sunny
Instead of always feeling partly cloudy
