Hero’s quest: eyes wide shut

Arman Hoque 1977 (Winnipeg)

Hero’s Quest

I woke up in the morning and crawled out of bed
What happened in bed be need left unsaid.
Let’s focus on the hero’s quest instead.
These quests really get into the head.

You end up a hero, damaged or dead.
These are the legends we’ve so often been fed.

How other to be a hero, how other to feel, yo?
The next time I kneel, oh;
I’ll learn to kiss the sky.
Won’t let opportunity pass by.
This moment I get;
Regardless what effects beget..

Have brought me with style
To the final green mile.
Stay in perception and I’ll

Transcend definition ,
Defy superstition.
A hero’s quest defines us to the last.
Live full of ourselves - go out in a blast.
I’ll stick around a bit…
Find some use for me wit.
