A Romantic Notion

Two people whom come from different lands, cultures and language. Between them there is an unspeakable passionate love. An attraction so strong, that they overcome these obstacles to be united.

The sincerity of their sentiment for each other compels them to speak the others language. To each person the other is ideal, despite the lack of customs. A pure love, one without preconceptions, one free of material interventions.

With pure adoration, and two heart-beats later, is enough time to complete loves gestation. A bond of man and woman, heart, soul and a common mind. Committed to contrive a path to their common goals, to never again leave the other's side.

Nestled deep in their stare is a confident air, a commitment to share what life has ahead, before a sentence could be understood, or a matrimonial vow said. As comfortable together as young siblings in bed, they only need to hold hands to know their destiny sees the same end...

Numi

"Numi" is the pen-name I adopted in 2007 after a friend gifted me a copy of The Essential Rumi; by Coleman Barks. After reading some of my works, it was suggested that it reminded them of the works by Rumi. In no way do I align myself with this Great Master Poet, but I do feel a deep connection to his poetry, and the book of Essentials was my constant companion during a 5 year saga, where I was stranded in the Amazon Jungle of Peru, from 2010-2015. Everything in my collections were written during a 4 year period, 1999-2003. more…
