Reading Poems

I read many comments about posted poems
Some are ideas tossed to a fountain like a coin
Hoping the coin will understanding bring
May the mind open as a bud in spring

Haikus comments are the most arcane to read
It breaks the readers closed minded creed
It is too short they invariably say
Here is one star as readers say nay

If they only understood the 5-7-5
Haikus make poetry come alive
