The hall of lies

You, standing at the end of a hallway
a wall of lies on every side of us
without hesitating i walk towards you
the lies are easy at first
all i have to do is stay focused on you
Keep my eyes on your beautiful face
stay focused on walking into your welcoming arms
the lies, kicking me, beating me, killing me sweetly
halfway there
they rip and tear at my heart
they rip and tear at my soul
i need to focus
when i make it to you
the pain will go away
now the lies are getting closer
surrounding me
blocking my path
im fighting them with all of my strength
they're hurting me
Please help me!
I keep faith in you and struggle to continue
i've finally reached you
im ecstatic, the pain can end!
You smile a small smirk
and walk away
leaving me bleeding
as the lies catch up to me
i give in to them
realizing they are true
