The Sweetest

I have tasted something sultry and sweet
The nectar not found in something you eat
Not taken from the ground or green, green vine
No! It is love! most divine
My Sweetest, lips so soft, her shocking grace!
The memory of the sweetest pale sad face
This temptress seduced and broke my heart
The same heart that mourns now of her depart
The sweetest is a symphony
Of music! and color! surrounding me
My soul yearning for more than touch
Struggling to show her just how much...
Still I crave her and all the beauty
Love her not out of obligation, or in duty
But hear her name in violins!
Tempting me like the seas mysterious sirens
