Dolphins or Grim Reapers

Charlene Delfin 1990 (Mandaluyong City)

Their blood flows in my veins.

Their brains are part of me.

Some say we're real villains.

Vampires, monsters, faeries.

These words don't give us pains,

For they're what this name decrees.

But we're dolphins in Greece.

Pretty, pleasant, peaceful.

Smiles that forever please.

Intelligent, beautiful.

Creatures that know a kiss,

Though gone when the moon's full.

We could be all pleasant.

Kind like an elephant.

Peace could be all we want

Or we could be deadly,

Scary, unforgiving.

We could be all freely.

All I know's we're trying,

Trying to live kindly.

Just don't go challenging

Because we change quickly.
