Analysis of Love Within A Poem
Teresa Whitney 1951 (Tacoma)
I wanted to write you a poem today,
Even though you are gone,
I take my paper, and pen in hand,
To start for you a new song,
You were the one who loved me so,
You taught me right from wrong,
Had it not been for you my dear,
Today I would not belong,
You molded me into who I am,
Giving me love all along,
Showing me what the world is made of,
A love to never go wrong,
A guiding light just like a star,
Shining within the night,
It was you, and your spirit,
Teaching me what is right,
Even though you have passed away,
The love we shared is forever,
Remembering you as I walk along,
Forgetting you not, never.
