Analysis of Exploring The Benefits

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

When has it ever been a disadvantage,
To explore the benefits and opportunities.
With them to come.
Yet...
Were shunned, refused and turned away.
Because they had been created by others,
Known to lie, dupe, hoodwink and deceive.

But...
This expertise to produce and deliver quality,
Denied and refused for what it is.
Can not be faulted to place blame,
On the people to claim it.
Since accustomed to mediocrity,
And less than that to accept...
Had been all the people knew to expect.
To become conditioned to be suspicious,
Of anything to them presented...
Told specifically to enhance,
The quality of their lives and wellbeing!

'I'm telling you,
They can be trusted.'

'And...
You know this,
How?'

'The one with the sunglasses on?
Cussing like a sailor still out to sea.
With language that salty?
Has done the 'electric slide',
More than just a few times.'

'And how is that to us a benefit?'

'To have a mouth like that and rhythm too?
Takes devotion, commitment and faith.
And...
You and I both know,
How difficult that is to achieve and keep!
Under these circumstances.
Done to remain cool as a crisp cucumber?
While others are forgiven,
For their tantrums thrown!
Because they were prevented,
From destroying...
A democracy to have it believed,
Theirs to own.'

'Comeon.
Stop exaggerating!
They were only attempting to make and leave,
Suggestions and opinions.
When film producers from Hollywood,
Used footage of THEIR hired actors...
Climbing the high walls of the Capitol.
To use in their upcoming film,
'IF IT HAD BEEN AN INSURRECTION.
(THE DO's AND DONT's OF IT)
And in their exuberance,
Did not hear the director shouting...
'Cut Scene' repeatedly!
Why are you shaking your head like that?
It's possible!'

'What is possible?
You returning back from...
Wherever your mind is light years away.
Hoping to discover the beginning of time.'

'There you go.
Always expecting me,
To be stupid enough to accept...
Your challenges.
Even though I must admit,
That one to visualize is interesting.
Tell me...
How long do you think it will take me?'

'God?
I know you enjoy testing me,
But...
How thin can a thin line get,
Before it snaps?
