Analysis of A smell
A smell took me to yester year
I got lost in a sweet embrace
I began swaying around my room
Trying to remember that place
Was it a trip to an old friend
Where we talked all night
Was it catching fireflies
Being mesmerized by the lights
Was it a home cooked meal
Touching my very soul
Was it a warm hug
when i was stricken with a cold
It wasn't a smell like describable
It felt more like a feeling
It took me on a cruise ship
To the sea where I'm reeling
It felt like a daddy's hug
Or a momma's tender kiss
It's just a smell i can't depict
But I love that I'm feeling this
