Analysis of My Inward Eye
I don't want to open
my eyes, as my eyes are
charmed again and again
and I pursue folly.
I don't want to open
my eyes, as my eyes can
see all worldly objects
but not me.
When I enjoy beauty,
my eyes glance at it,
but my heart dances with joy
and the beauty makes good imprint.
I want to close my eyes
so that I can introspect myself
and can see illuminated path,
directed by God.
