Analysis of Fantastic Times

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Fantastic,
Are these twisting to bend...
Mind changing times.
Leaving no one left behind to claim,
To blame what is happening to them...
Has been the fault of others.
Hiding away a secret serum.
Giving them the appearance,
That protects a sanity.
Completely convincing.

Fantastic it is,
To be among the few accused of this.
Especially when we are observed together,
Loudly arguing in public.
Over who or who did not,
Order a hamburger.
With tomato, mayo and lettuce.
To deny that to shout back,
What it was they ate to have eatened...
Was a hamburger, without mayo.
A side of fries with no lettuce.

Isn't it great to know, see and witness,
A return back to our normal ways.
And realize the reality,
Of these days to ourselves not to admit...
The craze of them had been really missed!

'No you didn't!'

'I DID TOO!'

'I can solve this right now.
Excuse me, folks.
Weren't you in that restaurant,
We all just left?'

'Yes.
Yes we were.
But...
You'll have to excuse us.
You see...
We are still going through therapy.
And not yet,
To have completed our sessions.
And hopefully soon,
We will be back to a normalcy!
You have no idea how we envy you.'

'No problem at all.
All of that peace of mind to have stuff,
Had been keeping us from who we are!
And now?
So fantastic it is,
To feel and have our normalcy back!
Just stay patient.
We did!'

'And the evidence and proof of it?
Who can doubt,
This has been accomplished to achieve!'

'Thank you. Thank you so much.
Now...
Where were we?
FOOL. I DID NOT ORDER MAYO!'

'WHO...ARE YOU CALLING A FOOL? FOOL!
YOU DID!
