Analysis of Safe Harbor
1)I never hear her footsteps
But, I sense that she is there
Stepping thru the shadows
Flowers in her hair
She spurns her silk kimono
On the polished bamboo floor
Pulls the belt from my waist
I’m addicted to her taste
The candles glisten on the brass
Crystal cups, and window glass
Somewhere, up beyond the hill
A hoot owl calls, then all is still
The moonlight slips across the floor
Upon the bed, and out the door
I pull the blanket over us
She moves closer, at its touch
Chorus)Tho, she is so petite
She makes me feel complete
Her heartbeat is my rudder
Her whisper is my wind
Her love is my Northern Star
Safe harbor, just beyond the bar
2)She always wakes before me
She brings me honeyed tea
Love can transform any man
Warms, like sunshine on the sand
Fulfills, every promise made
Cuts deeper, than any blade
She moves like, a dancer
And, I can’t look away
Lazy man! Go, you’ll soon be through
The morning sky is turning blue
I cannot keep you here, alone
But, I’ll be here..
When you get home
(Repeat Chorus)
