Analysis of A chosen family
Families are normally dictated by blood or marriage
Not mine
My family consists of the most unique individuals I came across on my way
From beautifully broken vets to brutally honest felons
From the abused to the pot smoking hippies
They are my family
We are the misfits of society
I have been warned of the fact I might develop a reputation
That doesn’t matter to me
I am happy to be apart of this messed up family
To feel safe and welcomed
Knowing we have each other’s backs
My family is one not of blood
It’s a family of friends
A family where I finally fit in
