Analysis of Remorse Has Its Regrets
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Unplanned events can not be prevented.
Like a natural storm warned to come.
Many will attempted to prepare,
For its unwelcomed visit.
With a doing their best,
To prepare for the unexpected.
However...
Many approach,
Premeditated and calculated misdeeds.
To conveniently schedule such activities.
That can be prevented.
Yet warnings come done to ignore them.
When unconscious minds,
Are swept away...
By the stirring winds delusion creates.
A thoughtlessness has its price to pay.
When minds become enticed,
To ignore the words heard that others say.
Instead choose they do to disobey.
As if children repeatedly told,
'Your way done to do...
Will cause you the dismay!'
But life to live,
Ultimately makes scholars out of fools.
Apologies are given.
And forgiveness is expected.
However...
What seems to linger on,
Is one's inability to forget.
Like a pain inflicted,
Upon others who remember it.
Yet...
Those forgetting to expect,
A forgiveness given to accept?
Would have better odds to bet,
On a storm that has left...
Remorse to feel and devastation to regret.
With a hope no one connects them,
To a storm Mother Nature has created.
Leaving this healing to mend from it,
A much longer process...
Than anything Mother Nature has done.
To have come and gone to go forgotten!
