Analysis of Enough Of This...

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Enough.
Enough of this...this...

'What?
Enough of what?'

Whatever is coming next,
You and I both should accept to tolerate.
Haven't you had enough of it already?

'Hmmm...well,
That depends on what it looks like.
And...
If there is a chemistry that matches.
These days it pays to be particular.
Some folks are desperate.
After a few drinks,
They could care less...
What to accept when addressed.'

Sex sex sex...
That's all that's left on everybody's minds!

'And...
There are some,
Who take matters in their own hands.
To then make it known,
They've had enough of it.'

Enough!
That's exactly what I've had enough of.
And those who always talk about it,
Are the ones...
Wishing to get more than they do.

'Oh yeah?
Who is it,
Wearing a glove on their right hand?
Those of us still normal,
Would be proud to wear a bandage.
But no!
Not you.
I guess overnight,
You miraculously became...
Ambidextrous?'

What?
What has that got to do with anything?
I told you,
I was hammering nails.
And...
You have seen me use both of my hands.

'Oh!
So now I'm involved?'

What...is,
Your problem?

'Hey...
I'm not the one announcing,
To have had enough.
Trust me,
Sex is not my issue.
Or a problem at all!'

My 'enough' to have had it,
Is with the World.
And all the nonsense that's going on.

'Sure!
And I bet...
If you could fix,
All the troubles of the World...
With your right hand.
Your inability to enjoy what you like,
Would not be on your mind at all.'

GOD?
What has happened?
Give me sign?

'A sign?
That's already been done.
You're the one that's ambidextrous!'

Enough.
I have had enough of this...this...

'All I can say is to pray to heal quicker.
And from now own,
Try to keep your personal business...
To yourself.'

I thought you were my friend.

'I am...
However,
I rather not be involved...
In your personal confessions.
We're not that close to get any closer!'

You don't get it.

'And I hope I never will.
Your enough to have had,
Is already too much for me to take!'

Why are you looking at me,
Up and then down like that!

'I gotta go.
I've had enough of your enough.
To not imagine what it is to have!'

What is on your mind?

'Not that.
That's for sure.'

Huh?
You have twisted to misunderstand,
The meaningfulness of my concerns.

'Yep.
I've noticed!
Call me when your concerns,
Heal to mend your enough to have had.
