Analysis of Out To Rage Us

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Out to rage us.
With a keeping a belief,
Defenseless we are.
With no allies to come.
To undo and free us,.
From, a bombardment of conflicts.
And a division intended and meant,
To leave our shoulders bended.
Left to have,
Nothing else on our minds.
But grief and sorrows with no relief.
From Sunrise until Sunset.
Hoping our faith in the One Almighty,
Will not abandon our suffering.
Until we confess our deepest regrets,
For not submitting to those wicked.
Or accepting us to allow,
A following along with their power to get.
We must not permit ourselves,
To stoop that low.

We are not the fools to use as tools,
To be abused as if...
They can expect us to forgive and forget,
Their wickedness to implement.
In cemented ignorance.
No!

They may be out to rage us.
And drive us crazed to crave it.
With a doing to believe,
An agenda created and made to enforce...
Is only supported and endorsed,
By those of minds twisted and demented.
To believe we can not see,
Their numbers everyday,
Dwindling away.
With a reality of a dependency,
On the ones they sought to portray...
As helpless and needy.

But...
As history and the truth of it told,
A biting the hands that feed the beast.
Seldom forgives to excuse,
Blatant acts of treason.
Or betrayal to amuse...
Those victimized and left to know,
The ones who destroyed...
Their own crops to grow.
Can not survive alone.
Standing to boast victoriously,
In fields of weeds.
Bragging about,
How they destroyed...
Their own quality of life.
With a making of demands,
As to who now commands...
Over a land abandoned.
Abandoned.
By the ones who planted the crops.
To harvest and nourish even those,
Who insisted they knew and believed...
They would rule and control everything.
With noses up.
And minds vacant long to have closed.

'Now that we have obtained,
Power to possess it.
Who do we elect,
To feed us the feast...
That celebrates our victory?'

'Let's see.
How about the Native American Indians?'

'Hmmm...
No.
We've already exposed them,
To our goodwill tactics.
It took me years to realize,
Corn may be delicious.
However...
Vitamin nutritious?
They are not.'

'Okay.
Then how about,
The Chinese?
They did assist in the building,
Of our railway system.
From one coast to the other.
Or the Africans we shipped over here,
To enslave them taking away...
Their dignity and identity?
I bet they would love to help us.'

'Uh...
Too many holes we left in that can.
And that was long before,
Pandora's box was opened.'

'Well...
How about,
The Mexicans and every Latino,
We refused citizenship?
And don't forget the Japanese,
Who we imprisoned.
For just being who they are.'
And they were born citizens,
Of this country to defend.'

'Some wounds we will be unable to heal.
Or even mend.'

'That only leaves us with one group left.'

'Great.
Who might they be?'

'Aliens many are admitting,
They see flying around in UFOs.
The ones many claim,
Are all our ancient ancestors!'

'Poppycock and got blessed with brains?
Look.
Stop being ridiculous.
We now...
Are the most powerful people on Earth.
Let's stay focused.'

'I know.
But...
Who is left,
We have yet to deceive?'

'Think.
You should know by now,
That's not my area of expertise!'

'I don't know if I should feel,
Enraged, outraged or just crazed!'

'Well...
Make up your mind.
And whatever decision you make?
You can count on me to follow along.'
